Notes:
We have some major planetary ingresses this week. Venus enters the fixed fire sign of Leo, Mercury enters its mutable airy domicile of Gemini, and Pluto retrogrades back into the fixed earth sign of Capricorn, where it will be until January 20, 2024.
Beginning this upcoming Sunday, Mercury will be zipping through Gemini and will only be in the sign for a couple of weeks, until June 26. In Gemini, Mercury is clever, curious, brainy, playful, sociable, and fun.
Venus, however, will be spending an extra long time in Leo due to its upcoming retrograde. Venus will be retrograde from July 22 until September 3 and will be in Leo until October 8, so it will be in the sign for four whole months!
Venus is the planet of love and Venus in Leo is all about displays of affection and words of affirmation. It is about attention as an expression of love. Fixed fire doesn’t burn out, so the passion and desire of Venus in Leo runs strong and is quite persistent. With Venus opposing Pluto upon entering Leo, we might this week experience a probing, penetrating, or even obsessive, quality to our relationships, with tensions that could bring transformation.
Venus will enter its pre-retrograde shadow on June 19 at 12°12’ Leo, before stationing retrograde a month later. Venus retrogrades point us to things in our relationships that need review and reconsideration. The retrogrades themselves don’t fuck things up, but bring our attention to what’s been amiss all along and they ask us to wrestle with the hard questions, and in this case, tussle with our beloveds. Venus will leave its post-retrograde shadow on October 7 at 28°36’ Leo, a month after it stations direct, just before it enters Virgo on October 8. Venus, therefore, will be spending the entirety of the summer in Leo, and then some.
One thing I have been thinking about lately is that with Saturn in Pisces, it is forming hard aspects with planets in the other mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius. I feel that this has been contributing to barriers, frustrations, disappointments, and delays when it comes to Geminian matters of fun, play, and connection, Virgoan matters of organization, thoroughness, and exactitude, and Sagittarian matters of hope and faith. I feel that we experienced this with this weekend’s Full Moon in Sagittarius, which was square Saturn. And perhaps we’ve been a little less tidy during the recent passes of the Moon through Virgo, maybe feeling less facility with (or perhaps constricted by) the Virgoan tendency to cross all the t’s and dot all the i’s. Perhaps all this is something I will elaborate on in the future. But overall, if you are feeling frustration or a lack of gratification when it comes to curiosity, connection, organization, and hope, it’s all written in the stars.
I have also been thinking (and this is a technical thing) that with Pluto and Saturn having ingressed into Aquarius and Pisces, they are no longer at the late degrees of their respective signs, so we are having void-of-course Moons that have been lasting much longer than they have in recent memory, which could be bringing many days where we’ve been feeling like nothing much is coming of anything. With Pluto retrograding back into Capricorn, we will be having fewer void-of-course Moons. Saturn, however, is still only in the opening degrees of Pisces, so we will have to contend with that vibe for a while. There’s also been a similar thing with Jupiter having moved into Taurus, being no longer at the late degrees of Aries, but Jupiter moves relatively quickly in comparison to Saturn and Pluto. In sum, the period of oh-so-brief void-of-course Moons, which we have enjoyed so much earlier this year, is over.
That’s all I am going to say for this week. Unfortunately, my brain is not allowing me to write all that much. The will and desire are definitely there, but not the capacity. One thing that astrology teaches us is that we aren’t machines and that there are ebbs and flows in our capacity to do things. I’m incredibly frustrated and disappointed with my present challenges, but for now I will leave you with a chart of the Last Quarter Moon and a timeline of this week’s lunar ingresses. I hope that I will be more able to consistently show up to write, but my intention is to at least provide a timeline and a chart every week.
This week’s lunar ingresses:

I think what you said in this paragraph is really spot on:
"One thing I have been thinking about lately is that with Saturn in Pisces, it is forming hard aspects with planets in the other mutable signs: Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius. I feel this a ton! I am easily bored right now, which I always hesitate to say because if I am bored does that mean I am being boring? Usually, LOL! My house is not as clean or as tidy as I would like it and with homeschool ending I don't even care! Hope about the future, wtf?! What future? I am at a total loss right now and with Saturn on my Moon in Pisces I just feel like I can't see the future or feel where I'm supposed to go--I am being land-locked or something! Thanks, Saturn :). Thanks for this little weekly heads up, I appreciate the perspective.
